AI diet plan app for India

An AI diet plan that knows idli, sambar and roti

Most diet apps were built for food you don't eat. PEAKD! plans and logs everyday Indian meals, from a South Indian breakfast to a North Indian dinner.

In India the weekly plan is ₹199, and monthly and yearly cost less per week. See pricing and what is free.

Built on Indian food

The food list has over 9,000 entries and leans heavily toward Indian cooking: idli, dosa, sambar, poha, rajma, roti, curd rice and the rest. Logging a normal Indian meal doesn't turn into a research project.

For many Tamil Nadu and South Indian dishes, PEAKD! computes the numbers from a standard recipe, including the oil a fried dish actually soaks up. Those rows are marked "Standard recipe" in search.

Plans for your region

When you ask for a meal plan you choose a region and tell the app what you usually eat. The week is built around that, so a Chennai breakfast and a Delhi breakfast don't look the same.

  • Regions: South Indian, North Indian, East Indian, West Indian, Mughlai and Indo-Chinese, plus global cuisines.
  • Diet types: vegetarian, eggetarian, vegan and non-vegetarian.
  • Seven days, four meals a day: breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.
  • Daily targets for calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre from your own body details.

Log it the way you say it

Tell the coach "2 idlis with sambar" or "one plate chicken biryani" and it logs the meal. Or take a photo of your plate and confirm the dishes it finds. A home recipe that isn't listed can be added once and saved to My foods.

You can type or speak to the coach in English, Tamil or Hindi, and the mic also works in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati and Punjabi.

Priced in rupees

In India the subscription is billed in rupees by Google Play or the App Store. Logging food and workouts by hand is free. The pricing page lists every plan.

Questions

Straight answers

Does it understand Indian portion sizes?
Yes. Tell the coach amounts in pieces, plates, bowls (katoris) or grams, and many Indian dishes carry their own portion sizes. If an amount looks wrong, edit the entry.
Can I get a South Indian diet plan?
Yes. Choose South Indian as your region and tell the app what you usually eat for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. The plan is built from those meals.
Is it good for weight loss on Indian food?
You can choose a weight loss goal and the app sets calorie and protein targets for it. It doesn't promise a rate of weight loss, and nothing you eat is called a cheat meal.
What if my home recipe isn't in the list?
Add it yourself once with its calories, protein, carbs and fat. It is saved to My foods, so next time it is one tap.
